Introduction
The Vector Optics Tauron 6-24x50 FFP, formerly known as Taurus, is a high-performance scope designed for hunters and shooters at medium to long distances. After testing it for two weeks in various conditions and calibers, including a Magnum, I can confirm that it is a robust and precise scope with an outstanding price-to-performance ratio.
Packaging and Accessories
The scope comes in a hard case, still labeled with its old name, Taurus. It includes a basic quick adjustment manual with a QR code for access to the digital version. The provided accessories include a cleaning cloth, mounting rings, sunshade, plastic protective caps, and a tool for turret adjustments.
The assembly and build quality are comparable to higher-end models like the Continental series. With a 34mm tube and a 50mm objective lens, it offers a good balance between size and performance. Though its weight of 974g is noticeable, this can actually be beneficial in helping to counteract recoil in powerful calibers.
Clarity and Sharpness: The image is clear and well-contrasted, with a wide field of view thanks to the large tube diameter.
Chromatic Aberration: Barely noticeable at the edges, without affecting the central vision.
Low-Light Performance: While it performs adequately, it is not as bright as the Continental, with some loss of clarity in low-light conditions.

Tactical Reticle (FFP)
The Tauron features a first focal plane (FFP) reticle, which scales proportionally with magnification, making it easier to estimate distances and adjust shots. The illumination is a great addition, though the selector is somewhat stiff. Only the central dot and main lines are illuminated, avoiding unnecessary distractions.

Controls and Adjustments
Eyepiece: Smooth diopter adjustment, easy to use even with gloves.
Magnification Ring (6-24x): Fluid movement, with a throw lever for quick changes.
Parallax Adjustment: Provides the right amount of resistance.
Elevation and Windage: Large and precise, with audible clicks and a functional Zero Stop system. However, it lacks an indicator for the number of turret rotations, which would be helpful for precise adjustments.
Illumination: Brightness levels are good, but the selector is a bit stiff.
Battery Compartment: Secure, but the threading feels slightly tight.

Durability and Field Testing
The scope has proven to be highly durable, handling the recoil of a Magnum caliber without any issues.
