Review of SCOL-53, Continental x6 3-18x50 ARI

Thanks to Vector Optics for the new optic, which is a Continental 3-18X50 T (SCOL-53) type telescope.

This belongs to the premium category, this is also visible on the careful packaging. It contains the following: the optic itself, rubber lens protector, shading extension, cleaning cloth, spare turret cap, 30 mm Picantiny mount.

Its magnification is 3-18 times, front lens diameter is 50 mm, eyepiece diameter is 42 mm, eyepiece length is 54 mm, the length of the optic is 338 mm, and it weighs 710 grams. Its tube is 30 mm in diameter, nitrogen-filled and made of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. Its parallax can be adjusted from 10 yards to infinity. The rear diopter is adjustable between +2 and -3. Its upper turret has a zero-stop function, and its side turret is lockable. Its light transmission is 90%. Its reticle is tactical VCT-10A and can be fully illuminated in 6 stages. The battery type is CR2032 (not included). It is waterproof up to one meter.

Before I mounted the optic, I had to get a mount for an 11 mm rail. I mounted it on an air rifle that I use in the Hunter Field Target competition. I set the zero point to 23 meters. Thanks to its crystal-clear and distortion-free lens, it provides a clear image even at 9X magnification. Despite the 50 front lens, aiming can be done quickly and accurately. The viewing error is minimal. The shading extension is a useful accessory for aiming against the sun. Its light transmission is 90%, so targets in darker places are not a problem and it is also excellent in twilight. The tactical reticle helps with lateral aiming and, due to its thinness, does not obscure the target even at close distances. The entire reticle can be illuminated for night shooting.

This scope is the top of the brand. I personally tested it in competition conditions, where I was only 1 point behind 1st place. Although it is not cheap, it comes with premium optics and a lifetime warranty. It is excellent for Hunter Field Target, hunting, precision shooting and silhouette.

I have tested many binoculars, but the Continental product line has never disappointed me. This optic is my personal favorite, I will compete with it.
