Here is the Continental x6 4-24x50 Tactical ARI Rifle Scope review from Borbás Gábor.
I was very happy to test the Vector Optics Continental 4-24X50T tactical reticle optic.
The package includes several accessories: the optic itself with lens protectors, a shield extension, a spare turret cap, a cleaning cloth, an Allen key and a 30 mm Picatinny mount. Here I would like to note the absence of the 11 mm assembly.
The optics have a rust brown shade instead of the usual black color, which gives it a unique look. The telescope is 369 mm long, with a 30 mm tube size and a 50 mm front lens. Its light transmittance is 90%. Its rear lens is 42 mm, its magnification can be adjusted from 4-24. It weighs 690 grams. Parallax adjustment is possible from 15 yards to infinity. Reticle: VCT-20A tactical and fully illuminated in 6 stages. Its water resistance is IP67 (waterproof up to 1 meter), which I tested myself, it was submerged for 30 minutes. You can see the video made about it in the post. Its tube is completely filled with nitrogen, so it is fog-free.
After mounting, I set the parallax to 23 yards. I use it for 7-42 meter shooting (Hunter Field Target, hereinafter: HFT), which gives a crystal-clear and pin-sharp image at any distance. Thanks to the very high light transmission, the targets are clearly visible even in twilight. The towers respond well to clicking and are not sensitive to temperature fluctuations. The reticle is not suitable for HFT, the VCT-10A reticle is more optimal. Its distortion is extremely low, with the parallax set between 15 and 42 meters the image is clear, below 15 meters it is a bit blurry.
Perfect for hunting, precision shooting and silhouette shooting.
Positives:
- unique color shade
- fully illuminated reticle
- parallax adjustment
- crystal clear and dust-free image
- 90% light transmission
- IP67 waterproof
Negatives:
- Lack of 11 mm rig
- the element is not included
During the testing, I established that the optics are of the usual top quality from Continental, and the product also comes with a lifetime warranty. As I wrote about the HFT, it is not really suitable because of its reticle, but it can be an excellent choice for hunting, precision and silhouette shooting.
