Range review of the Vector Optics Global SCRD 67 Frenzy 1x31x26 MOS red dot optic

Out-of the-precision and accuracy 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Took it from the box yesterday, slapped it on my carbine, co-witnessed with the iron sights and was hitting 8,9,10 from 25 meters - that's all "alpha" hits for IPSC shooters.With 2 clicks adjustment I was hitting all 10's from a seated, rested, mounted position at 25 meters - that means my shots were all within a 2-inch group at 25 meters.Did some quick rapid doible-taps at 8-10 meters and was still hitting within the alpha zone.

Red dot visibility and crispness 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As you can see it's bright and shiny where I'm shooting and still the red dot, circle dot, and cross hair reticles were all highly visible from setting 11 (brightest) down to 8. Lower than 8 is still a bit visible but more difficult.  Perfect for quick target acquisition and rapid shots. Lines, circles, and dots were sharp and really helped when shooting from 25m allowing me to land precise shots. The large window also gave a great advantage allowing me to easily acquire the reticle and keep both eyes open while engaging targets.

Weight 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Maybe just a personal preference but found it added a little bit of weight which threw off my speed a couple of times as I was overswinging up when mounting and had to adjust. I think it's just a matter of practicing with it more.

Controls 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The windage and elevation adjustments were very precise and responsive. Loud edible clicks were satisfying as i was adjusting the dot position for more precise shots. The negative part was the button controls for the actual red dot. They would have benefited from being more tactile and intuitive. I struggled to go from one type of reticle to another, a couple of times even turning the red dot off. It wasn't quite as responsive as there was a delay between my pressing of the buttons to the appearance of the dot or changing of the reticle. 

Overall, I would still definitely recommend this optic for rifle and carbine shooters. The form factor and build quality are perfect if you are looking for an out of the box precise, rugged, and reasonably priced optic.
