Maverick-II Plus 1x22 DBR Double-Reticle Red Dot Sight Review

2024-08-01

Here is the Maverick-II Plus 1x22 DBR Double-Reticle Red Dot Sight review from RKR Shooting.

MAVERICK-II PLUS 1X22 SOLAR

During the last week I have tested the Maverick-ll Solar red dot. This is my first red dot sight.

I started the test at our indoor shooting range, like I did withe the Forester 1-8x24. Wow this red dot was really easy to zero. Although the elevations knots are small, you feel the click clear and sharp. The 8 levels of illumination made it easy to aim right on target, be choosing the right brightness of the dot. Shot a couple of 5 shots group from a sandbag and I can't complain.

The Maverick comes with two types of mounts: Cantilever QD Picatinny mount, low Picatinny mount. I choose the low which is perfect for my hunting rifle. The red dot can be powers by battery or solar. A couple of day later I wanted to put the solar to the test. On a quite rainy day I went to the forest. I walked through some dark areas and pull up the rifle and aim, I was still sharp and full powered. Another great feature the shake awake mode. If you don't touch the rifle in 30min. It will turn off, as soon as you touch the rifle it will start again.

It could be fun to try this red dot on a wild boar hunt someday in the fluter.

Overall a great product high quality for a great price.
