Here is the Veyron 4-16x44IR SFP Compact Rifle Scope review from Borbás Gábor.
Thanks to Vector Optics for another opportunity to try the Veyron 4-16x44 IR scope.
The package contains many useful accessories:
- Assembly for 30 mm WEAVER rail
- shading lens
- wipes
- front and rear snap-on lens cap
The optics are short, 26.8 mm long. Its magnification is 4-16, its front lens is 44 mm. It is equipped with a tactical crosshair, in the middle of which only the dot lights up, not the crosshairs. Its weight is 555 grams, its tube is 30 mm in diameter. Its viewing distance is 85-90 mm. The inside is flushed with nitrogen, so the lenses do not fog up from the inside. Parallax can be adjusted from 10 yards to infinity. Its diopter can be adjusted from +2 to -2. Its turrets can be locked and reset.
I mounted the optic on a recoilless airgun. The 11 mm rail is not included in the package. It does not stop due to kickback and is not sensitive to temperature fluctuations either. Its viewing error is minimal, its image is clear and sharp. It also provides a good image for targets in darker places. I use this optic for 7-42 meter target shooting. Both near and far targets are clearly visible. Great mid-range optics.
Positives:
- minimum insight error
- extremely short (26.8 mm)
- foldable lens caps
- parallax adjustment
- tactical crosshairs
- light spot
- lockable and resettable turrets
Negatives:
- Lack of 11 mm rig
- lack of shading extension
- the crosshair does not, only the dot lights up
Overall, I think this is a great optic for the price. The image quality exceeds my expectations. Great for Hunter Field Target shooting. I recommend it for air guns and light weapons.
