For airgun hunting, we are actually talking about small game hunting, varmint hunting or pest control. Due to the dynamic shooting process, it’s better to have a scope with acceptable eyebox to get the full field of view quickly. Additionally, other factor to consider is weight. All SOI scopes are airgun-rated, making them suitable for spring piston and break barrel airguns.

For example, both the HW99S (99 S), an entry-level springer, and theGamo Whisper Wildcat .22, a break barrel action rifle, are perfect for small game hunting, pest control, or informal plinking. To engage small game at 20-25 meters with the 99 S, we recommend using a 3-9x AO scope for optimal performance.

While for heavy-recoil spring piston air guns, consider the shockproof ability first. To mount on a spring piston air gun, a scope should remain stable and reliable. Otherwise, the internal parts may loosen after just a few shots.

The SOI scopes feature a robust aluminum alloy monotube design, ensuring they remain secure and won’t break apart, even under heavy recoil.

It’s a popular choice for those who regard weight as a priority by reducing overall weight of air gun setup. Moreover, 1 inch tube scope is cheaper than 30 and 34mm tube due to the low manufacturing cost. That’s why makes it the most budget entry-level scope to choose.

Normally, 1 inch tube scopes offer a smaller windage and elevation adjustment range than 30mm tube diameter. Therefore, they are often seen in low magnification scopes for close to medium-range shooting.
