Here is the Taurus GenII 3-24x56 ED FFP Riflescope review from José Jgs.
Today, I’m excited to share my experience with the Taurus GenII 3-24x56 ED FFP riflescope, a piece of equipment designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding shooters by offering precision, durability, and optical quality. After a thorough analysis and several weeks of use, here are my impressions.
Technical Features
8x Zoom
The 3 to 24x zoom range offers excellent flexibility, making it ideal for accurate shots at both short and long distances.
ED (Extra-low Dispersion) Lenses
The extra-low dispersion lenses provide impressive image quality, with true-to-life colors and excellent resolution.
First Focal Plane (FFP) Reticle
The FFP reticle is a major advantage as the MIL scale remains proportional at any magnification level.
Robust and Durable Construction
Built with 6061-T6 aluminum, the scope is both durable and lightweight. Tested and recommended by the manufacturer to withstand impacts up to 1000G, it’s perfect even for spring-piston air rifles. Additionally, its IP67 certification ensures resistance to water (submersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) and fogging.
Practical Features
Precise Adjustments
The turrets feature audible 1/10 MIL clicks, enabling quick and reliable adjustments. The zero-stop system is another highlight, allowing you to return immediately to the original setting.
Versatile Focusing
The lateral and elevation adjustments offer wide ranges of 20 MIL and 30 MIL, respectively. Additionally, the adjustable parallax from 10 yards to infinity is ideal for various distances. It’s a particularly interesting option for beginners in sports like Field Target, as it allows perfect parallax focus even below 10 meters.
Comfort and Ergonomics
The diopter adjustment range of -2 to +2 enables precise focus customization, while the quick magnification adjustment lever is practical for field use.
Specifications
Magnification: 3-24x
Objective Diameter: 56 mm
Field of View at 100 Meters: 13.6 to 1.71 meters
Lens Coating: Fully multi-coated, maximizing light transmission.

Mounts and Accessories
The scope includes sturdy 34 mm mounts for Picatinny rails and high-quality rubber protective lens caps. While I had hoped for "flip-up" caps, which are more practical in this price range, this is a minor detail that does not detract from the overall performance.
Lifetime Warranty
One of the features that truly caught my attention is the lifetime warranty offered by the brand. This demonstrates undeniable confidence in the product’s durability and reflects Vector Optics’ commitment to quality and customer satisfaction—an added bonus for anyone investing in equipment of this caliber.
My Opinion
After testing the Taurus GenII 3-24x56 ED FFP, I can confidently say it’s an excellent choice for those seeking optical precision, robust construction, and practical features. The performance remains consistently solid.
Although the rubber lens caps are somewhat simple for the premium standard of this scope, its optical quality and durability more than make up for this minor drawback. I must also highlight the nitrogen-filled internals that prevent condensation and its 1000G impact resistance, ensuring durability even with spring-piston air rifles.
One of the standout features of the Taurus GenII is its lifetime warranty, which reinforces trust in the product’s quality and reliability.
Whether for sports shooting or practical use, the Taurus GenII is a riflescope that impresses in every aspect. Highly recommended!
